NEW PATIENTS
What to expect
1
Your first visit lasts 60 minutes and is designed to truly understand you and your health story.
During this appointment, I'll listen carefully to your health concerns, learn about your wellness goals, and take a thorough history. This isn't just about addressing symptoms—it's about uncovering the underlying factors that may be affecting your health. Think of it as detective work where we look for the 'why' behind what you're experiencing.
Through this detailed intake process, we'll begin to identify what your body needs to function better and which underlying factors we need to address. Lab tests are typically ordered during this first visit to help us gather more information about what is happening underneath the surface.
By the end of our first appointment, we'll start developing your personalized wellness plan, and I'll provide you with initial treatment recommendations that you can begin right away. This first visit is just the beginning—we'll continue to refine and adjust your plan at follow-up appointments as we learn more about how your body responds and as we work together toward your health goals.
ThE FIRST VISIT
LAB TESTING
2
Labs are typically ordered during the first visit to begin our investigation. We'll take a comprehensive look at how your body is functioning to identify where things aren't working well—and why.
What labs we start with will be based on your unique symptom picture, health history, and family history. We'll begin with the most pertinent and indicated tests first, then continue to dig deeper and run additional tests as needed over time. Just like any investigation, uncovering the underlying factors affecting your health takes time and often requires layers of testing.
This approach goes beyond standard lab work to reveal the imbalances, deficiencies, and other factors that may be keeping you from feeling your best.
FOLLOW UP VISITS
3
Your second visit will typically be scheduled 4 weeks after your initial consultation. At this appointment, we'll review your lab results in detail, discuss how you're responding to the initial treatment recommendations, and continue to expand upon your wellness plan.
While everyone's situation is different, I typically see patients every 4-6 weeks initially so we can make adjustments, refine your treatment approach, and continue investigating underlying factors as needed. If you're not meeting your health goals as expected, we may order additional lab testing to gather more information.
As you make progress, visits become less frequent, with the goal of transitioning to 1-2 visits per year for wellness maintenance and prevention.
